March is National Nutrition Month and Destination Hotels & Resorts is celebrating in a big way by launching the annual Kids Healthy Recipe Contest which encourages consumers to submit their favorite healthy recipe that children enjoy eating.  The winning recipe will be featured on the company’s Kids Café healthy menu selections for a year, and the chef who submits the top entry also wins a trip for a family of four to any full-service Destination Hotels & Resorts property.  Now that's sweet...

Our very own Executive Chef Paul McCabe is supporting by pushing the fun into April, with the Cooks Confab School Lunch! Event.  On April 3rd, Chef Paul will be teaming up with other talented chefs in the area to serve up a healthy portion of School Lunch!  All proceeds benefit the Slow Food Urban San Diego's mission to promote awareness and the importance of good quality, farm fresh foods served to kids in San Diego schools and beyond.  Because it takes more than better ingredients to make a better school lunch... 

Prepare yourselves wine lovers: Chef Paul is going all out with Joseph Phelps Vineyards at KITCHEN 1540 this March 15th. 

First, we're serving up champagne and hors d'oeuvres on the patio.  Next, it's time for five courses of deliciously unique dishes paired with libations from Joseph Phelps Vineyards.  And, if you're familiar with a little wine called Insignia, you won't want to miss this pairing...holy bison.
