“Whether here for social occasions or business, our guests enjoy exclusive experiences that bring them together,” says Bob Harter, director of sales and marketing. “This is especially true when sharing a meal together and these two new dining options have already proved a popular draw.”
L’Tea By the Sea
There is something serene and civilized about an afternoon tea with friends, especially while enjoying sea breezes and ocean views. L’Auberge Del Mar’s new L’Tea by the Sea is available for groups of 12 or more and is a fun option for celebrations, including bridal showers and birthdays, or even a casual business meeting. Served in the stylish Living Room Lounge, groups dine on traditional and contemporary finger sandwiches such as cucumber with mint and goat cheese, smoked salmon deviled egg, grilled shrimp summer roll and Ahi tuna cone. Fresh baked scones with Devonshire cream and crumpets with fresh fruit preserves, as well as a selection of premium herbal teas round out the coastally elegant experience. Tea is $57 per person and there is a 12 person minimum. Reservations can be made through the catering department at 866-262-3977.
The Kitchen Sink
For an exclusive dinner experience, L’Auberge Del Mar’s signature KITCHEN 1540 restaurant offers a tasting menu in the private dining room that guarantees guests won’t go home hungry. The "Kitchen Sink" Tasting Menu is available for groups of up to 10 people and essentially allows diners to sample nearly everything on the menu, or everything but the kitchen sink.
Described as a 4x5 tasting menu, Kitchen Sink features four courses of five dishes per course. Served family style in the wine-encased private dining room, the menu is made up entirely of items from the regular dinner menu. So, if a guest really enjoys something, they can come back to the restaurant and order it for their meal. The Kitchen Sink experience is priced at $85 per person or $150 if paired with wines. Reservations can be made through the catering department at 866-262-3977.
