Toast the New Year with L’Bling Bling
While a champagne toast at midnight is always a winner, guests looking for something really special to toast the New Year won’t be disappointed with the L’Bling Bling cocktail at L’Auberge Del Mar. The $500 cocktail is an opulent play on the classic Sidecar and is made from the world’s finest Louis XIII cognac blended from eaux-de-vie that can be aged for up to 100 years. The drink also includes Grand Marnier Quintessence, another fine cognac blended with orange essence, as well as Cristal Simple Syrup made from Louis Roederer “Cristal” Champagne and sous-vide with sugar. The crowning touch is Opus One bitters, an aromatic bitters made from the amazing wine then aged with twelve other ingredients.
