Get Dad Revved Up For a Fun Day with a Delicious Brunch at KITCHEN 1540

Del Mar, Calif.- Give Dad a break from the griddle this Father’s Day and treat him to brunch by the sea at L’Auberge Del Mar. A father of three young children himself, Executive Chef Scott Dolbee’s brunch menu features generous man-sized portions and all the fixings for starting Dad’s Day off right.

“In my experience, dads like to be indulged, but don’t need all the pomp and circumstance that typically goes with Mother’s Day,” says Chef Dolbee. “Whether in the mood for steak and eggs, a suped-up waffle or decked-out burger, Dad will find our à la carte brunch is a nice blend of delicious, indulgent food and a casual, seaside atmosphere.” 

A sampling of menu items include:

Eggs & Omelets: Steak & Eggs, Lobster Benedict, California Omelet with Avocado, Crab & Boursin Cheese

From the Griddle: Buckwheat Waffle; Almond-Crusted French Toast; Lemon Ricotta Pancakes

Entrees: “Animal” featuring Kobe Flap Steak, Grilled Romaine & Secret Sauce; Bling Burger with Truffle, Bacon & Fried Egg; Grilled Salmon with Sherry Vinaigrette

Other: Selection of house-made breads, pastries, granola and fresh juices

The brunch menu will be served in KITCHEN 1540 from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. All items are à la carte. Reservations are recommended and can be made at 858-793-6460.
