About Mi Sueño

Spanish for “My Dream,” Mi Sueño wines represent a dream realized for Rolando Herrara after working for more than 20 years in the wine industry. Herrara emigrated with his family as a teen from the Mexican state of Michoacan in 1975. The family settled in Napa and this would eventually lead to the beginning of Herrara’s journey through the ranks of winemaking.

Over his 20 year career in the wine industry, Herrara honed his skills at some of Napa’s top cellars including serving as Cellar Master for Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Assistant Winemaker at Chateau Potelle, Winemaker at Vine Cliff Winery and Director of Winemaking at Paul Hobbs Consulting. Mi Sueño began as a side project in the 1990’s with 200 cases of chardonnay. Today the label produces more than 5,500 cases a year and his wines are poured in restaurants throughout the country. The wines were even served at a 2001 White House event honoring former Mexican President Vicente Fox.
