Del Mar, Calif.- L’Auberge Del Mar has appointed Kristen Pinder to director of revenue optimization. In her new role, Pinder works closely with the hotel executive, sales, marketing and front office teams to coordinate all revenue strategies and ensure revenues are maximized within the hotel. Pinder’s primary focus is on the leisure rooms segment, with some involvement in group and corporate, as well as ancillary spend at the restaurant and spa.

“We are pleased to welcome Kristen to our team,” said Bob Harter, director of sales and marketing for L’Auberge Del Mar. “Her years of experience working in revenue management and extensive knowledge of the software systems, wholesale/consortia markets and discount channel management will play a key role in helping the hotel reach its goals for the coming year.”

Pinder has worked in the hospitality sector for 15 years, most recently as a market manager at Travelocity where she was responsible for the Orange County and Palm Springs regions.  Prior to Travelocity, Pinder served as area director of revenue management for Evolution Hospitality in Newport Beach, Calif. Pinder’s background also includes working as both a sales manager and area revenue manager for Tarsadia Hotels in Newport Beach, Calif., as well as reservations supervisor for La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, Calif. Pinder holds an honors diploma in travel and tourism management from Sprott-Shaw College in British Columbia, Canada. She is an active member of Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) and previously served as chairperson of the San Diego Convention and Visitors Bureau’s Travel Trade Online Subcommittee.
