New Year’s Eve Coastal California Dining at KITCHEN 1540
Saturday, December 31, from 6 to 11 p.m.
For ushering in a sparkling New Year, Executive Chef Nathan Lingle’s gourmet California-inspired holiday menu at KITCHEN 1540 features a raw oyster Amuse with a suggested wine matching of citrusy Henriot Brut Millesime. Then three savory courses with choices plus dessert selections follow with possible wine pairings for a supplemental price. First Course options to be paired with Siduri Russian River Pinot Noir 2014 include Duck Proscuitto with farmer’s market greens, Ricotta Fritters with pickles and Lamb Carpaccio. The wine paring for the Second Course is Keenan Spring Mountain Chardonnay 2014, and choices include Lobster Bisque, Pork Belly and Raviolo with farm egg and truffle. Among the Third Course dishes with a recommended pairing of Tenuta di Arceno Il Fauno Di Arcanum Toscana IGT 2005 are Baja Striped Bass, Iberian Pork and Wagyu Tenderloin – all with creative side accompaniments. To end the feast, guests can delight in Caffé Corretto made with dark chocolate, amaretti, espresso mousse and amaretto ganache or other celebratory confections paired with Chateau La Fleur d’Or Sauternes 2011. And, a local San Diego artist will perform in KITCHEN 1540 from 6 to 11 p.m.
