L’AUBERGE DEL MAR PROMOTES CHRISTINA BENSON TO DIRECTOR OF GROUP SALES; HIRES AMANDA FIETZ AS NATIONAL SALES

Del Mar, Calif.- L’Auberge Del Mar will kick off 2014 with the promotion of Christina Benson to director of group sales and the addition of Amanda Fietz as national sales manager. 

“Both of these women bring a polished professionalism, strong sales acumen and an excellent track record of success to our team,” said Bob Harter, director of sales and marketing. “Chrissy has been a valued member of the L’Auberge Del Mar sales team for over two years and has a great leadership skillset ideal for heading up our sales department. Amanda is a rising star who has honed her skills at great properties and is ready to hit the ground running for our hotel.”

Benson is a graduate of Northern Arizona University with a degree in hotel and restaurant management. She got her start in the hospitality industry at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess as human resources employment manager. From there, she moved to sales at the Resorts Suites of Scottsdale and the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa. Prior to joining the team at L’Auberge Del Mar, she served as a senior sales manager at the Sheraton Portland Airport Hotel, OR. 

A Southern California native, Fietz will be handling the Los Angeles and mid-west markets for L’Auberge Del Mar. She joins the property from The Westgate Hotel where she was a national sales manager. Prior to that, Fietz held sales positions with several San Diego area properties including the Grand Del Mar Resort, Bristol Court and West Inn and Suites. She is a graduate of UCLA and also studied at L’Université Paris – Sorbonne. She is fluent in French and enjoys running, traveling, cooking, and spending time with family.
